FAQ

What is 8D audio?

It is a track edited so the sound seems to move around your head, panning smoothly from one ear to the other. There is no real “eight directions” — it is a stereo panning effect — but with headphones it feels wonderfully spacious and immersive.

Is my song uploaded anywhere?

No. The effect is created entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API, so your file never leaves your device. It works offline and stays private.

Why does it sound best in headphones, and why is it a WAV?

The effect relies on separate left and right channels, which headphones keep apart — on a single speaker the spin is much weaker. The result is saved as a lossless WAV; use the Audio Converter to make a smaller MP3 if you need one.
