Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. The audio is captured and saved entirely on your device using your browser’s recorder. Nothing is ever sent to a server — it stays private to you.
What format is the recording?
It’s saved in your browser’s native recording format (usually WebM/Opus, sometimes Ogg), which plays in modern browsers and most players. To turn it into MP3 or WAV, use the Audio Converter.
The microphone isn’t working — what should I check?
Make sure you allowed microphone access for this site, that a microphone is connected, and that no other app is using it exclusively. Recording also requires a secure (HTTPS) connection, which this site uses.
