Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is decoded and converted entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API. It never leaves your device, so it works offline and stays private.

When should I use mono vs stereo?

Mono mixes both sides into one centred channel — great for voice, podcasts and smaller files. Stereo keeps (or creates) two channels, which music and most players expect. Converting mono to stereo simply duplicates the channel.

Which formats can I use?

Any format your browser can decode (MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, OGG). The result is saved as a lossless WAV; convert it with the Audio Converter if you need MP3.
