How are the initials chosen?
From the words you type: a single word uses its first two letters, and two or more words use the first letter of the first and last word. They’re always shown in capitals.
What size should I use?
256 px suits most profile pictures and chat apps; choose 512 px for crisp results on larger displays, or 128 px for tiny icons. The text colour is picked automatically to stay readable on your background.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The avatar is drawn on a canvas in your browser and the PNG is saved straight to your device, so nothing leaves your computer. It works offline.
