How to use

  1. Drag the dot inside the big square to set how vivid and how bright the colour is, then drag the rainbow slider to choose the hue.
  2. Watch the swatch update live, or type a HEX code like #7FB069 into the box to jump straight to a colour.
  3. Copy the colour in whichever format you need — HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV or CMYK — with its own Copy button.

FAQ

Is anything I pick sent to a server?

No. The colour picker runs entirely in your browser using a canvas and plain maths, so nothing you choose or type ever leaves your device. It works offline and stays private.

What is the difference between HSL and HSV?

Both start with hue and saturation, but the third value differs. HSL uses lightness, where 100% is pure white and 50% is the most vivid version of the colour. HSV (also called HSB) uses value or brightness, where 100% is the brightest version of the colour and white only appears when saturation is also zero. This tool shows both so you can use whichever your design app expects.

Why does the CMYK look different from the screen colour?

CMYK describes ink on paper, while your screen shows RGB light, so the two ranges do not match exactly. The CMYK values here are a straightforward conversion that is great as a starting point for print, but a printer profile may shift them slightly for an exact match.
