Mind Map Maker
Build a mind map, org chart, timeline, fishbone or matrix with a visual editor — style each node, then download it as PNG, SVG or PDF. Free and private.
Paste an outline
One node per line. Press Tab (or two spaces) at the start of a line to make it a child of the line above. Importing replaces the current map.
How to use
- Start from a template — SWOT analysis, Eisenhower Matrix, 9-grid goals, a RACI matrix or a meeting agenda — or build your own from the example: click a label to rename it, press + to add a child, × to remove a branch, or drag a row to move it. Power users can paste an indented outline instead.
- Pick a structure — mind map, logic chart, org chart, tree, timeline, fishbone or matrix — and open Edit mode (full screen) to colour, shape and add emoji to any node you select.
- Choose a format (PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG or PDF) and a page size, then press Download. Everything is drawn in your browser, so nothing you make is ever uploaded.
FAQ
Is my map sent to a server?
No. The whole map is built and exported in your browser, so nothing you type or design is uploaded. The tool works offline and keeps your ideas private.
Can I start from a ready-made template?
Yes. Pick one from the Template menu — SWOT analysis, Eisenhower Matrix, a 9-grid goal board, a RACI responsibility matrix or a meeting agenda. Each loads example content and the matching structure, which you can then rename, restyle and download. Choosing a template replaces the current map.
How do I add, move or style nodes?
Each row in the editor has buttons to add a child or delete a branch, and a handle you can drag to make a node a child or sibling of another. Open Edit mode (full screen), click a node, and the side panel lets you set its shape, colours, font and an emoji icon.
What is the difference between the structures?
A mind map spreads branches left and right from a central idea; logic charts grow sideways; org charts and trees grow downward; a timeline lays first-level points along a horizontal spine; a fishbone shows causes as diagonal bones; and a matrix turns the first level into a grid of titled boxes.
Which download format should I pick?
Choose PNG, JPG or WebP for a ready-to-share picture, SVG for a sharp file you can scale or re-edit in a vector editor, or PDF to print or attach. Page sizes like A4 and Letter fit your map onto a real page; "Fit content" trims tightly to the diagram.
