Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The crop is previewed and rendered entirely in your browser on a canvas. Your image never leaves your device, so it works offline and stays private.

Does cropping lose any quality?

No. Cropping only removes the area outside your selection — the pixels you keep are copied at full resolution, so the kept part is exactly as sharp as the original. PNGs stay lossless; JPGs are re-saved at high quality.

Can I crop to an exact ratio like 1:1 or 16:9?

Yes. Choose an aspect ratio and the crop box locks to that shape while you resize it — handy for profile pictures (1:1), video thumbnails (16:9) or phone wallpapers (9:16). Choose “Free” to crop to any shape.
