Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded and trimmed entirely in your browser with the Web Audio API. It never leaves your device, so it works offline and stays private.
Which formats can I trim?
Any format your browser can decode — typically MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC and OGG. The trimmed result is saved as a WAV, which is lossless and plays everywhere.
Why is the output a WAV?
WAV is uncompressed, so trimming doesn’t lose any quality and there’s no re-encoding guesswork. If you need a smaller MP3, run the WAV through the Audio Converter.
