FAQ
How is the exact age worked out?
It counts whole years first, then the leftover whole months, then the leftover days — walking the real calendar, so short months and leap years are handled correctly. That is the same way people say an age out loud, like "25 years, 3 months and 12 days".
How are leap-year birthdays (29 February) handled?
In years without a 29 February, the birthday is treated as 28 February for the countdown, so you still get a sensible "next birthday" date. The exact-age maths is unaffected.
Is my date of birth sent anywhere?
No. Every calculation is plain date maths done in your browser, so the dates you type are never uploaded. The tool works offline and keeps your information private.
