FAQ
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The zoom is done entirely in your browser with ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so your video never leaves your device. The engine (about 25 MB) downloads once on first use, then is cached.
How does the zoom work?
It crops in to a smaller area of the frame (the part you choose) and scales that back up to the original size, so the subject looks larger — like a “punch-in” in video editing. Bigger zooms crop more, so very high zoom levels look softer.
Will the video get blurry?
Some softening is unavoidable because you are enlarging fewer pixels. We use a high-quality scaler to keep it as sharp as possible; smaller zoom levels (1.25×–2×) look best.
