FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Every image is resized right inside your browser on an HTML canvas. Nothing is ever sent to us, so it works offline and your pictures stay completely private.

What does “lock aspect ratio” do?

With it on, you only set one dimension and the other is worked out for you so the image keeps its proportions and never looks stretched. Turn it off to set width and height independently, which can squash or stretch the picture on purpose.

Does resizing change the file format?

No. The output keeps the source format where the browser can re-encode it — PNG stays PNG, JPEG stays JPEG, WebP stays WebP. Other types are saved as PNG so nothing is lost.
