Add a video to begin. The first run loads the engine (~25 MB) once.
How to use
- Drop a video in, or tap the box to choose one.
- Pick a ratio like 1:1, 16:9 or 9:16 — or switch to “Exact pixels” and type a width and height. Choose which part of the frame to keep.
- Press Crop & download — the largest matching area is cut from your chosen position. Bigger clips take longer, so a desktop helps.
FAQ
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping runs entirely in your browser using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so your video never leaves your device. The engine (about 25 MB) downloads once on first use, then is cached.
How does the aspect-ratio crop choose the area?
It keeps the largest rectangle of that ratio that fits inside your video, taken from the position you pick (centre by default). For example, cropping a wide 16:9 clip to 9:16 keeps a tall slice down the middle — ideal for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.
What if I ask for more pixels than the video has?
The crop is clamped to the video’s real size, so you never get black bars from over-cropping. To make a video larger, use the Video Enhance & Upscale tool instead.
