Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your video never leaves your device. The engine (about 25 MB) downloads once on first use and is then cached.
What format is the extracted audio?
The soundtrack is saved as an MP3 at 192 kbps — a good balance of quality and size that plays everywhere. Use the Audio Converter if you need WAV or another format.
Does muting reduce video quality?
No. Muting copies the video stream as-is and simply drops the audio track, so it’s fast and there’s no quality loss. The muted file keeps the original format.
